Yo Now Has A Friend

IMAG0069

Yo now has a friend in my entryway.

Cha is sort of a Stacer family way of saying goodbye.

(We are odd.  We know this, and don't mind one bit!)

It all goes back to my husband's first year in college.  One of my husband Chris' roommates (let's call him Eric because Chris can't remember his real name) was rather obnoxious and would always leave and loudly announce either "Cha Dawgs" or "Later Homos."

(As you can guess, Eric wasn't much cared for by Chris or his other roommates.)

It wasn't long before Eric's abhorrent send-off became playful fodder between Chris and his sister, Melissa.  They even began to make up new combinations, and started using "cha homo" as their signature farewell to each other.

(They really do love each other, much to the contrary of what this may suggest.  Those two lace all their insults with love.)

As the years passed this salutation stuck around and was shortened to simply "cha."  Now it is as common to us as hello and goodbye.

So there you have it.  It might not be the typical welcome/thanks for visiting sign but it works for us.

Cha Dawgs!

*On a side note: sorry posting has been so far and few lately.  I tend not to write when all I can think to say is laced with whining and contempt.  No one wants to read that.  When I have something worth sharing, you bet you will find a post.  Until then please hang on and bare with me.
