Did you know that you can kiss with more than just your lips? Yeah, that's right! Other body parts can kiss too, or at least so says my son. (Now, get your mind out of the gutter and read on to learn more.)
When Ian gets affectionate he will ask for a kiss, followed by a hug and then another kiss. Sometimes, if you are really lucky he will ask for "nose" which is when you press your noses together and your noses kiss. Then "eyes" which I am sure you are already imagining is when you get close so your eyes are just as close to each other as possible. There is also the possibility of an ear kiss, but that is very, very rare so I can only assume it is really special. So far only Daddy has gotten and ear kiss from Ian and I am beyond jealous about this fact.
So there you have it! Now you know there are other ways to kiss. So the next time you are with a loved one and want to express your affection, I strongly recommend getting up in their face and pressing your eye to theirs. It is the ultimate in closeness...in more ways that one.
In other news: I think my kid loves me and I also have some of his snot on my cheek.
